SPC Skincare Review

A little while ago I was sent some samples to try from a skincare range that I had never heard of before.  I always get a thrill out of trying something new so I was really looking forward to trying this brand.

I apologise in advance for lack of my own photographs but the products I received were in very small trial pots and after 50 photographs I just gave up.  These photographs are from the SPC website.

 Decadent Rose Cleanser

SPC Decadent Rose Cleanser

What they say......

An effective oil-free cleanser to leave skin feeling gently cleansed, soft and moisturised. Sweet Almond Oil moisturises the face and protects from dehydration, whilst the rosewater and chamomile work to tone, soothe and calm your skin. Added to this, the geranium acts as a detoxifier and helps to balance skin, to boost luminosity for a healthy complexion.

What I say......

This is a very light and delicate cleanser.  I wear some heavy duty make up and I'm a double cleanse person.  I like to use an all in one make-up and cleanser for my first cleanse to help remove all of the make up including eye make up, and then I like to use something lighter and more moisturising and soothing for my second cleanse.  This cleanser was perfect for that second cleanse.  The smell was wonderful and the lotion wasn't too thick so was easily spread all over the face and neck area, perfect consistency for a facial massage.  Once removed my skin felt clean and very hydrated.

Kiwi Complexion Scrub
SPC Kiwi Complexion Scrub
What they say......

A scrumptious and uplifting exfoliating scrub to brighten and revitalise the skin, leaving a fresh and decongested complexion. Rich in minerals, the key ingredients in this combination scrub are renowned for their anti-ageing properties.  The Kiwi seeds, fruit enzymes and Walnut help to gently exfoliate and decongest skin and superfood Pomegranate, renowned for its anti-oxidant properties, combine to leave the skin bright and beautiful.

What I say......

I love a good exfoliator and this one didn't disappoint.  I get really upset when I try an exfoliator that doesn't exfoliate.  This has just the right amount of 'scrubby bits' in it to make you feel like it's doing it's job without damaging the skin.  The actual products smells like a fruit smoothie.  My only complaint about this product would be that after the first time I used it I found a couple of the black Kiwi seeds behind my ear and one in my eyebrow about an hour later, so please ensure that you have removed all traces of this product prior to leaving the house.

Citrus Body Moisturiser

SPC Citrus Body Moisturiser
What they say......

An uplifting body cream to help leave skin silky, supple and smooth.
The zesty Lemon and Lime Essential Oils and the hydrating Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein will help to improve the condition and elasticity of the skin. Combined with Black Pepper to help stimulate your circulation which helps to fight cellulite. The citrus blends will lift your mood and leave your senses completely revitalised!

What I say......

This was my favourite product of the 3 that I tried.  First of all the fragrance, it smells like Lemon Meringue Pie.  This is the perfect product to use after your morning bath/shower as the fragrance is so uplifting.  The cream absorbs really quickly and leaves no stickiness.

I thoroughly enjoyed trying these products.   I was sent trial sizes I cannot make any judgement regarding the long terms benefits of using these products.
